kāśa, m. "the becoming visible, appearance", only in sa-k- q.v.; N. of a man g. aśvādi; of a prince (the son of Suhotra and father of Kāśi-rāja) Hariv. VP.; a species of grass (Saccharum spontaneum, used for mats, roofs, &c.; also personified, together with the Kuśa grass, as one of Yama's attendants) Kauś. R. Kum. &c.; (ā, ī) f. id. L. (am) n. id.
