tila, m. Sesamum indicum (its blossom is compared to the nose, Gīt. x, 14 Siṃhās.; cf. -puSpa), sesamum seed (much used in cookery; supposed to have originated from Vishṇu's sweat-drops, Hcat. i, 6, 137 & 142), AV. (-la, xviii, 4, 32), VS., ŚBr. &c.; a mole, Kālid.; a small particle, MBh. &c.; the right lung, ŚārṅgS. v, 42; pl. N. of a ch. of PSarv. (cf. kRSNa-, carma-, SaNDha-).
