Monier-Williams: A Sanskrit-English Dictionary (p. 83)
ambuprasāda, m. or ambuprasādana, n. the clearing nut tree, Strychnos Potatorum (the nuts of this plant are generally used in India for purifying water [cf. Mn. vi, 67]; they are rubbed upon the inner surface of a vessel, and so precipitate the impurities of the fluid it contains).
