This searchable collection of Sanskrit electronic texts is a part of the Pandanus project.
At present it contains 27 Kavya and Subhashita works (more than 4MB of data), all transcribed and proofread by students of the Seminar of Indian Studies (Institute of South and Central Asia, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Prague), the work is still in progress.
After entering the searched keyword (at least 4 characters) you can display either a preview (by clicking the "preview" button), i.e. only the number of occurrences of the keyword in each text, or a detailed list (by clicking the "search" button), quoting all the occurrences.
The quotations are numbered as follows:
Verses: text - (chapter) - verse no. - line no.
Prose: text - chapter - sentence no.
You can select the number of the results listed per one page and the encoding mode. With the ASCII modes you need no special fonts installed. The UTF-8 mode requires the Arial Unicode MS font, while the other supported formats require the respective fonts (Times-CSX+, Helvetica-CSX+, Sanskrit-Times, Sanskrit-Helvetica, Normyn) to be displayed properly. For entering keywords in all modes kindly use the ASCII1 encoding.
